Christian Roy

Christian develops and implements major investment projects throughout Quebec, in accordance with Desjardins Capital's strategic plan. His team includes investment professionals who make sure they understand the challenges and needs of Quebec entrepreneurs to set up the best capital structure for their partner companies. 

In addition to concluding transactions, he helps monitor investments and ensures the strategic alignment and valuation of investments in collaboration with his team, the managers of partner companies and their boards of directors.

What Christian Roy can do for you

Christian has more than 25 years of corporate finance experience. He also worked as a commercial account manager for the South Shore Desjardins Business Centre and at another major Canadian bank.
He joined the Desjardins team in 2000, completing numerous secured and unsecured financing as well as minority and majority equity investments in many Quebec companies.

Qualifications

Christian has a Bachelor of Finance from the Université de Sherbrooke. In addition, he is a member of the Ordre des CPA.

What great business story inspires you? And why? 

Quebec success stories, such as Alphonse Desjardins, Alain Bouchard and the Desmarais family’s stories, have been very inspiring. I also salute the courage and determination of the business people I've had the opportunity to work with during my career. The success stories behind many of our SMEs is also about passionate people and families of entrepreneurs, who are committed to developing the Quebec of tomorrow and, in turn, becoming a source of inspiration for the next generation.
